Privacy Policy

The games are ours, your data is yours. This explains what we collect while you play, why we need it, who else ever sees it, and how to have it removed.

Who we are

TNW Studios — short for The New Wave Studios — makes mobile games and the website you are reading right now. When we say “we”, ‟us” or “our games” in this policy, we mean TNW Studios and the games, apps and pages we publish.

We are the company responsible for the personal information described here. If you have any question about this policy, or want to use one of your rights, email hello@tnwstudios.games and we will pick it up.

This page is a starting draft. Before publishing, please confirm our registered legal entity name, country of establishment, and whether a data protection representative or officer should be named here.

The short version

If you only read one part of this policy, make it this one:

  • We collect the least we can to make the games work and feel good to play.
  • We do not sell your personal information, and we do not ask for sensitive details like your health data or your contacts list.
  • Payments and downloads are handled by your app store, so your card number never reaches us.
  • You can ask us to show you, fix or delete what we hold about you at any time.
3

What we collect

The details below are grouped by where they come from. Depending on the game and your settings, some of them will not apply to you at all.

  • Game data: your progress, scores, levels, settings, preferences, in-game purchases and virtual items.
  • Device data: model, operating system, screen size, language, region, connection type and a resettable advertising identifier where your device offers one.
  • Technical data: app version, session length, crashes, error reports and performance information.
  • Store data: your app store account identifier and purchase records, which the store passes to us so we can unlock what you bought.
  • Contact data: whatever you choose to send us when you write in, such as your email address, display name and screenshots.
  • Website data: pages viewed, referring page and basic interaction data, collected through cookies and similar technology.

Most of this is tied to a device or game identifier rather than your name. That is deliberate — we would rather know that a certain phone had a great run on level 12 than know who is holding the phone.

4

How we use it

  • To deliver the games: save your progress, unlock purchases, sync between devices.
  • To keep things fair and safe: detect cheating, exploits, fraud and abusive behaviour.
  • To make the games better: see where players get stuck, which levels are too hard or too easy, and what is worth building next.
  • To keep them stable: diagnose crashes and performance problems on specific devices.
  • To talk to you: answer your messages, send support updates, and tell you about new games if you asked us to.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations, such as keeping purchase records.
6

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share only what a specific partner needs to do its job, under contracts that limit how they can use it:

  • App stores (Apple App Store, Google Play and any other store you install us from) for downloads, billing and refund handling.
  • Analytics and crash-reporting providers, who help us understand usage and fix bugs.
  • Advertising networks, if a game shows ads — they may use an advertising identifier to measure and personalise ads.
  • Payment and customer-support tools that process information on our behalf.
  • Professional advisers, auditors and authorities, where we are legally required to.
  • An acquirer or successor, if our studio is sold or restructured. Any buyer inherits the same obligations.

Please tell us which analytics, crash-reporting and advertising partners are live in each game so we can name them here properly. A list of SDKs is what app-store data-safety forms and this policy both expect.

7

Cookies and identifiers

On this website we use a small number of cookies and similar technologies: strictly necessary ones that keep the site working, and optional analytics ones that tell us which pages are useful. You can accept, reject or clear them in your browser settings at any time, and the site still works if you block them.

Inside our games we use the equivalent: a game or device identifier, and where your platform provides it, a resettable advertising identifier. Resetting it in your device settings stops our partners from linking your old profile; turning it off limits the ads you see but not the games you can play.

8

Where your data lives

Our partners process information in different countries, including outside your home country. Where that happens, we put legal safeguards in place, such as standard contractual clauses or reliance on an adequacy decision, so the same protections travel with your data.

9

How long we keep it

We keep game data for as long as you keep playing, or until you ask us to delete it. Crash logs and technical records are usually aggregated and anonymised after a short window. Purchase records are kept longer because accounting rules ask us to. When something is no longer needed, we delete it or strip it of anything that could identify you.

10

How we protect it

  • Access is limited to the people who genuinely need it, and only for the work they are doing.
  • Data moves and rests encrypted, and administrative access is guarded with two-step verification.
  • We review partners and tools before they touch anything, and we practice minimum-data collection by design.

No system is perfect. If we ever become aware of a breach that puts your information at risk, we will tell you and the relevant authorities where the law asks us to.

11

Kids and families

Our games are colourful and family-friendly, but they are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Where we do release a title designed for a younger audience, that game gets its own age-appropriate policy and consent flow before it goes live.

If you are a parent and believe your child shared information with us, email hello@tnwstudios.games and we will investigate and remove it.

12

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • Access: send you a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct: fix anything that is wrong.
  • Delete: remove it, subject to records we must legally keep.
  • Port: hand it to you or another service in a usable format.
  • Restrict or object: pause certain processing, or stop it where we relied on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent: switch off analytics, personalised ads or marketing messages.
  • Opt out of sale or sharing: where US state law uses those terms, we do not engage in either, and requests are honoured without any drop in service.

Email hello@tnwstudios.games with the subject line “Privacy request”. We may need to confirm it is really you before we act, and we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority, and we would rather you wrote to us first.

13

Changes to this policy

Games change, and so does this page. When we make a meaningful change we will update the “last updated” date above, and for bigger changes we will give you a heads-up in the game or by email. Keeping the games running after a change is published means you accept the updated policy.
